JMR is proudly woman-owned and led by a female geologist who deeply understands the field. Our strength lies in our extensive network of professionals, combined with years of industry experience and hands-on fieldwork. Our solutions take a field-first focus, ensuring work is done with best practice processes and that our workers feel supported and empowered every step of the way.
JMR values systems to keep everything organized. The team works to leverage technology to ensure accuracy in data collection and efficiency for processing material after field efforts.
JMR is one of the few Woman Owned Small Business (currently pending WOSB certification) geology companies based in Alaska. Our founder, Jackie Rowley, PG, brings her expertise as both a geologist and a yogi, emphasizing technical proficiency alongside mutual respect, harmony and a regenerative attitude.
We value people, not just profits. Given the company was started by a female adventurer, the mental and physical health of the workers are highly valued. Priority is placed on accomplishing work in a balanced way to ensure time for passions outside of work is fairly accounted for in a person’s desired workload. We want to break the 9-5 by empowering our personnel and embracing flexibility.
At JMR, we’re not just professionals; we are adventurers with purpose. Our team members are drawn to this work by an innate curiosity coupled with a genuine love for exploring Earth's landscapes. Off the clock, many members can be found rock climbing, mountaineering, skiing the backcountry, hiking mountain trails, or kayaking white water. Our members practice these skills for fun and seamlessly integrate them into their work whenever possible. While we thrive in the wilderness, we are equally passionate about utilizing our intellect for the greater good, motivated by a dual commitment to both adventure and meaningful contribution.
